News Desk: The Interdisciplinary Institute for Food Security (IIFS), an institution located at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAKRUBI), offers the opportunity to obtain a postgraduate degree while working. The one-and-a-half-year professional degree is Masters in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security.

He added that applications for admission to the three-semester course have been accepted since August 25 and will continue till September 25.
The class activities of the course will start from October 1. Students seeking admission to this course must have a BSc or DVM degree from Bakrbi or an equivalent degree from another public university.
Holders of three-year bachelor’s degrees in biology, environmental sciences, social sciences, and business education, as well as postgraduate degrees or four-year bachelor’s degrees, can also apply for the course. However, you must have 3 years of work experience in the field related to agriculture and food security.
The number of seats in this course is 30. Candidates can apply for admission on the IIFS website www.iifs.bau.edu.bd.
IIFS Director Prof. Farida Yasmeen Bari said the professional degree was introduced for employees who had not previously completed a master’s degree. However, you can complete the course only on Friday and Saturday of each week without taking leave from work.
