Covid: Booster Dose Week across the country on June 4-10

Staff Reporter: A third or booster dose of Covid Ticker will be given nationwide to prevent coronavirus nationwide from June 4 to 10.

Adults who are four months old after taking the second dose will be able to take the third dose of the vaccine in this special program, the Department of Health said.

Vaccination will start at 9 am at all vaccination centers throughout the week. Those interested can go to the center any day of the week with the vaccine card and take a booster dose.

In addition, the Department of Health said that the usual vaccination activities for COVID will continue.

The first dose of the coronavirus vaccine was given in Bangladesh on February 7, 2021. Two months later, on April 8, the second dose was given. And on December 28 last year, the Department of Health started giving the third dose or booster dose.

According to the Department of Health, as of May 24, more than 128.731 million people in the country have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. Of them, more than 11 crores 73 lakh 58 thousand people got the second dose. And more than 1 crore 45 lakh 44 thousand people got the third or booster dose.
