Covid vaccine for children coming soon: Health Minister

Senior Reporter: Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek said the country would soon start vaccinating 12- to 18-year-olds against coronavirus.

He said this at the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons auditorium in Mohakhali on Sunday. They have ‘agreed’ to vaccinate children.

“They told us, ‘You can get vaccinated to prevent infection.’ Gavio has assured us of more Pfizer and Modern vaccines. ”

The health minister said the government now has 6 million doses of Pfizer vaccine, half of which will be given to children between the ages of 12 and 18. Children will be registered for vaccination through a birth registration certificate.

“We will leave the other half of the vaccine to give the second dose to the children. They will register with their birth registration. Besides, registration can also be done through educational institutions. ”
