Staff Reporter: In the event of an epidemic, a bench of the High Court may conduct the trial in physical presence if it so desires.
This was stated in a notification of the Supreme Court on Sunday.
Virtual trials were underway in the High Court bench after the coronavirus epidemic control lockdown was lifted in early August.
After that, the rate of infection has decreased and now the educational institution is going to open after one and a half years.
After the decision was taken by the Ministry of Education on Sunday, the High Court was also given the opportunity to conduct the trial in person.
“All the benches of the High Court Division which wish to conduct court proceedings in physical presence may conduct court proceedings in physical presence from the date fixed by all the benches by strictly following the hygienic rules and taking necessary protective measures,” the statement said.
Following the outbreak of the epidemic last year, the courts have also been opened and closed in line with the government’s closure.
Although the trial started in physical presence in the lower court, the high court is being continued virtually.
