Technology Desk: Md. Has been appointed as the new managing director of Microsoft in Bangladesh. Yusup Farooq. Microsoft Bangladesh has confirmed the recruitment information.
The company said in the new role it will focus on accelerating the digital transformation of public and private sector entities and organizations, SMEs, communities, and other sectors by partnering with Microsoft’s powerful partner ecosystem.
“Bangladesh is one of the fastest-growing economies in the Asia-Pacific region, And we are proud to be able to help Bangladesh achieve its goal of becoming a developed country by 2041 and empower the country. One of the means to achieve this goal is to mobilize IT-enabled public services and increase the use of cloud services in the country. ”
“Yusuf Farooq’s industry experience will play an important role in ensuring cloud services in the country, enhancing related skills, and ensuring positive transformation through the cloud.”
Yusuf Farooq has previously worked for companies like VMware, Banglalink Digital Communications, and Symbiosis Bangladesh. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer applications from the University of Bangalore in Bangalore, India.
Regarding the appointment, Farooq said, “Bangladesh has accelerated its use in the field of network and technology to achieve the national agenda of digital Bangladesh on the basis of smart governance.”
Farooq expressed the feeling that Microsoft is looking forward to working with its partners and the community to “transform the country, the industry, and its capabilities.”
